Thermo coagulation of face joints

Causes for persisting back pains are often signs of wear of the facet joints. This so called facet syndrome is often the reason for pain after a intervertebral disc surgery. If conservative methods do not achieve the expected success, we will contemplate a minimally invasive coagulation – the targeted deactivation of the pain transmitting nerve fibres of the facet joints.

Thermokoagulation

The pain transmitting nerves are heated in a specific area, which will generally lead to a long term absence of pain or relief of pain.

Thanks to this minimally invasive procedure we are able to enable many patients an effective stabilised recovery of the back muscles.
